The recent high-level air traffic management meeting in Zhuhai brought together key figures from the Civil Aviation Administration of China, Hong Kong, and Macao to discuss the progress and future plans for airspace management and air traffic flow in the Greater Bay Area. The meeting, attended by Wen Xuezheng, Victor Liu, and Pun Wa-kin, highlighted the importance of collaboration and innovation in enhancing the efficiency of air traffic management in the region.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the consensus reached by the Tripartite Working Group on the need for planning peripheral air routes and implementing various optimization measures. These measures include the establishment of new air routes, the transfer of control points, and the exploration of advanced air navigation technologies to maximize the utilization of airspace resources in the Greater Bay Area.

Victor Liu, Director-General of Civil Aviation of Hong Kong, expressed optimism about the progress made by the TWG, noting that the implementation of air traffic management enhancement initiatives has already shown promising results.
